I had the pleasure i meet Tim in my 20s on a trip to California during my 3D Animation / Non-Linear editing days. I even wrote him a letter telling him what he had done to revolutionize and influence the desktop 3D animation and effects world. He didn’t reply 🙂

I am not surprised by what he was able to achieve in advancing current theory of Vermeer’s secret to painting with apparent super-human photo-quality.
