Actual testimony from well-intended “average folks” at Quebec’s Charter of Values town halls. This clip would be funny if it weren’t so darn important. I support the Charter, however we need to be wary of allowing majorities (government legislation) to infringe on minorities’ rights. My concern is that the xenophobia displayed in this video (which is prominent in Quebec and Western society as a whole), could evolve towards racism/hate.
I don’t believe in god and i think those who do are foolish and silly. Religion has set the “progress” of humanity (science, rights, health, morality, etc.) back at least 1000 years. What a distraction from what is important.
Having said that i respect others to live their lives as they choose 🙂
